Support Slovak PRO

Slovak PRO is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit connecting Slovaks across North America and beyond. Since 2001, we have been building a professional community that creates real opportunities, not just events. We bring together founders, students, executives, researchers, and creatives across 12 cities.

  • Slovak PRO is not just a newsletter or a few local meetups. Every year, our team runs and grows a real professional network for 3000+ Slovaks abroad. Each year:

    • Almost 50 volunteer members organize 50+ events in 12 cities across the world.

    • We manage our community across the U.S., Canada, UK, Germany, and beyond.

    • We run flagship events such as Slovak PRO Summit, Slovak House at SXSW, Slovak Tech Conference in San Francisco.

    • We create introductions between founders, professionals, investors, students, institutions and partners.

    Donations help us keep the network active, visible, and useful for the next Slovak professional who needs a connection, advice, opportunity or community abroad.

  • We exist to connect, support, and empower Slovak professionals around the world. That means organizing events, but also the work that happens behind the scenes: making introductions, helping people navigate new cities, connecting founders with the right partners, and building a network that actually delivers value.

    Slovakia is a small country. But our network does not have to be.

  • Slovak PRO runs on a lean budget. Every dollar goes toward making the community stronger:

    • Organizing events across 12 cities in the U.S.,  Canada, and Europe

    • Running the Slovak PRO Summit, our flagship annual event

    • Community tools, communication, and operations

    • Supporting students and newcomers

    • Building partnerships with organizations globally

    • Covering the operational costs of a non-profit run by volunteers

  • Slovak PRO has no paid staff. No institutional funding. This network exists because people like you choose to keep it alive. Without ongoing support, the events stop, the introductions stop, and the community quietly disappears.

    Being Slovak abroad is not just where you are from. It is a set of values, a way of seeing the world, and a network of people who understand exactly what it took to get here.
